Menstrual health consultations at a glance

A healthy menstrual cycle is essential for a healthy life. However, finding an answer to your menstrual health problems can be difficult. At Ease, we make it easy and accessible to obtain medical advice to maintain menstrual health.

Who are your doctors?

What can I expect from the teleconsultation?

All doctors on our platform are local licensed doctors with years of experience in sexual and reproductive health. When you sign up for a teleconsultation, you will be provided with the name and license number of the doctor who will attend to you

The teleconsultation lasts up to 10 minutes. Our doctors will discuss your symptoms, and if appropriate, prescribe your treatment. You’ll also have the chance to ask about your condition, the treatments available, and get advice on how to manage the condition if it occurs again in the future.

What conditions can I consult the doctor for?

When should I see a doctor for my menstrual health?

Our doctors are experienced in sexual and reproductive health, and will be able to advise patients on a range of menstrual health conditions such as abnormally heavy periods, painful periods, irregular menstrual cycle, absence of periods and spotting between cycles.

As a general rule of thumb, you should see a doctor when the condition affects your daily life, such as abnormally painful period cramps that prevent you from doing daily activities. Additionally, menstrual irregularities such as heavy bleeding and irregular cycles can also be managed effectively by consulting a doctor, gaining answers to your questions, and obtaining the right treatment.

Frequently asked questions

Can I make an order for someone else?

Unfortunately not. For legal reasons, we need the person who will use the medication or who is undergoing the test to create their own account with their details, and to request the prescription or test kit from us. If your partner, friend or relative needs to use our services, please have them create an account or reach out to us.

Is Ease safe?

Yes! Any medication purchased through Ease are prescribed using the same rules and medical standards as your family physician. Our medical professionals will only prescribe medication if it is safe to do so based on the information you provide us. We work with major retail pharmacies to dispense your medication so you can rest assured that your medication is coming from a reliable source. We’ll also check in with you now and then to make sure you’re responding well to your medication. In the event that you’re experiencing any side effects or have any doubts, our customer and medical teams are available to answer your questions.

Who prescribes the medication at Ease?

We partner with local licensed physicians with years experience in sexual and reproductive health. When you sign up for an appointment with us, or request a prescription, you will be given the details of the physician who will be attending to you.

Can the teleconsultation fee be claimed under my insurance plan?

Major insurance companies may provide plans that cover medical consultations through video call. Please check with your insurance provider if your plan covers this. We will be able to provide any required documentation for you to make your claim.

Is Ease a clinic or pharmacy?

We are not a pharmacy, nor are we a licensed clinic. Ease is a digital health platform designed to make access to sexual and reproductive health services more convenient and affordable through the use of technology. We work closely with licensed doctors, retail pharmacies and testing labs in order to make the process of attending consultations, obtaining medication, and getting tested as streamlined and convenient as possible.

How do I pay for my medication?

Once your doctor has written up your prescription, we will send you an email with instructions on how to pay for your medication.

What is a normal menstrual cycle?

Counted from the first day of a period to the next, the menstrual cycle varies for different individuals. However, a normal menstrual cycle should range from 21 to 35 days, with menstruation lasting for 2 to 7 days.

Are menstrual cramps normal? When should I see a doctor?

Menstrual cramps that occur as slight aching or discomfort are considered normal, especially if they have been occurring since the first period. However, severe menstrual pain that impacts daily life or sudden painful menstrual cramps that occur years after your first period is not normal and would require a doctor’s opinion as it may be indicative of an underlying medical issue.

What is considered an abnormally heavy period?

Menstruation is considered abnormally heavy when a person has to change their pads or tampons every 1 to 2 hours. This condition can affect an individual’s daily life such that they experience difficulty in performing daily activities due to the heavy bleeding.

Does Ease provide a doctor’s referral to a gynaecologist?

Should your condition require further tests and evaluation by a specialist, Ease’s doctors are able to provide a referral to a gynaecologist.
